Sewer

     The City of La Crescent provides sewer service within the City limits. The treatment plant has a capacity of 548,000 gallons/day with daily flow average of 280,000 gallons/day and peak flow of 1.4 millions gallons/day. Minimum sewer use charge is $47.76 per quarter, 30,000 gallons.

Water

     The City of La Crescent provides municipal water from wells. Two reservoirs have a storage capacity of 1.3 million gallons, with a pumping capacity of 2,640 gallons/minute. Total tap water hardness is 286 ppm. Average demand is 400,000 gallons/day and peak demand is 1,080,000 gallons/day. Plus, we have a radium removal plant which removes the radium 226 & 228 from the water supply. It also helps remove iron from the water.
