The Apple
Express provides regularly scheduled routes between La Crescent and
La Crosse. This is a joint venture with the
La Crosse Municipal Transit Utility. Railroad
The main
line of the Soo Railroad runs though La Crescent with two
trains daily. There is no reciprocal switching, piggy-back
service or passenger service. Roadways La Crescent is served by Minnesota Highway 16, U.S. Highways 14 & 61 and Interstate 90, as well as Houston County Roads, 6, 25 and 29. Trucking Freight, parcel hauling and delivery is available in La Crescent. Parcel services though United State Postal Service and United Parcel Service are also available. Waterway La Crescent is located on the Mississippi River, south of Lock & Dam #7 which is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Mississippi is a navigable body of water with a depth of nine feet. |
