Government/Taxes

     The City of La Crescent is governed by a mayor and a four member city council. The city budget is $2,333,054 and all industrial plans are approved by the city council.

     Refuse service is provided by Waste Management Inc. and La Crescent has a modern recycling program in place.

     The City of La Crescent employs a total of 21 employees, including 8 full-time police officers. Twenty-five on-call firefighters/first responders also serve the city.
