La Crescent Apple Festival
The Apple Festival is La Crescent's major community
festival held the third weekend of September.
Thousands of visitors watch the parade on Sunday. Stop at the pie tent to buy a whole apple pie or
enjoy a slice at the chicken-que tent. Call

Arts & Crafts Fair
Each year, during Applefest, the La Crescent Chamber
of Commerce sponsors an Arts and Crafts Fair at the
Elementary School. Vendors offering a variety of
products bring their wares to La Crescent for this
event.

Flea Market
Each year, during Applefest, the Chamber also
sponsors a Flea Market on the Elementary School
Playground.

Classic Car Show
On the Saturday of Applefest, the chamber sponsors a
Classic Car Show. Dash plaques are awarded to first
100 vehicles each year.
Slice of Life 5K Run/Walk
On the fourth Saturday in June each year, the
La Crescent Chamber of Commerce sponsors this
run/walk. Applications are available in late May or
early June at the Chamber office and at various
other locations throughout the city. Proceeds from
the event are shared with civic and community
organizations.

Christmas in La Crescent
The La Crescent Chamber of Commerce hosts a Winter
Parade on the 2nd Friday in December.
Join your friends and neighbors as Santa arrives
downtown to open the holiday season in La Crescent. Retailers offer products and
services to help you with your Christmas plans,
choirs serenade shoppers, Apple Annies join in
caroling and the city's Christmas trees are lit for
the season.
Children can send a "Letter to Santa." A collection
box is placed at the local library, and Santa
answers each letter received.
